What is The Dump?
The Dump is a note-taking app that helps you quickly capture thoughts, ideas, and information. It organizes your notes with categories and tags so you can find everything later.
What platforms is The Dump available on?
The Dump is available as an iOS app on the App Store and as a web app you can access from any browser.
How do I reset my password?
You can reset your password from the login page by tapping "Forgot password?" If you're still having trouble, contact us at support@georgelabs.ai.
How do the notes get categorized?
AI that is trained on your note history and pre-selected categories reads through your note, and previous notes to contextualize and understand what the note is about. The AI then selects the most likely category.
How do I update categories?
You can change a note's category by editing the note — either from the note card in your notes view or from the full-screen editor's Details panel. You can also bulk-update categories for multiple notes at once. To edit the options for all of your categories, go to settings and send us a message with your new categories.
What are types?
Types describe the purpose of a note — for example, "Tasks & To-Dos," "Brainstorms & Musings," "Notes & Summaries," or "Reference & Instructions." Each note has one type, and you can filter your notes by type.
What are sub-categories?
Sub-categories are nested groupings within a category. For example, under a "Work" category you might have sub-categories like "Client A" and "Client B." Each note can have up to 3 sub-categories. You can add keywords to sub-categories so notes are automatically assigned to them.
If I delete notes, do they count towards my monthly limits?
Yes. Once a note is created, it counts towards your monthly note and word limits even if you delete it later. Your limits reset automatically at the start of each month.
